 The large linen fragment has two lines of inscriptions running in opposite directions and woven in dark blue silk thread. The content of the text, in the Kufic script, follows the typical form for tiraz textiles conveying good wishes to the caliph Nizar Abu al-Mansur al-imam al-Aziz and states that it was woven in the royal tiraz workshop of Tinnis in the year 3(7)5 (AH).
